If you own a RV then you might already know what a inline pressure pump.  They are used to pump water from the white water tank to various locations such as the kitchen sink, bathroom sink and outside water specked. Unlike an in line electric fuel pump, these pumps are activated by hand.

Depending on the size of the hose connected to the pumps you should be able to create some significant volume through these types of pumps. It’s imperative that you check your hose diameter so you do not restrict the flow going through the inline pressure pump.  If the hose diameter is not sufficient, you will notice that it’s hard to pump the water.  This hardening of the handle can also be caused by bad seals and valves so it’s vital that you maintenance your inline pressure pump often.  They make rebuild kits for all the different types of pumps available today.  Checking your local RV supply place will lead you in the right direction to finding a quality pump.

I picked up a pretty good pump just yesterday at Wal-mart.  It was located in the plumbing section. The one on my RV finally dies after 15 years, so finding one to replace it was new to me.  Really all I was considered about was making sure it fit into the RV.  The nice thing is you don’t have to worry about GPM and all hat jazz as these pumps are very low pressure water pumps. Actually what broke on the old pump was the handle of all things. It still pumped the water like a champ, but I could not fix the handle.
